As a graphic design intern, I designed various materials that fit within existing brand identity standards including letterhead, business cards, and social media graphics. I consistently focused on creating innovative graphics that would be cohesive with existing materials produced by other members of the UGA Football Graphics Team. I create recruiting graphics that are personalized for each individual high school recruit.
My designs are distributed to hundreds of high school football recruits, UGA football coaches, and the general public both through social media and print.
As a graphic designer, I redesigned the UX STRAT logo to be more modern, and to be able to exist in multiple settings such as mobile, web, and print. I established a strong brand identity, then implemented it when creating banners, conference badges, posters, powerpoint backgrounds, business cards, signage, marketing materials, and web design. I created marketing materials for 300 person conferences held around the world.
As a UX designer, I redesigned uxstrat.com so that users could easily navigate through multiple conferences and masterclasses intuitively. This included redesigning the global navigation system for both desktop and mobile, implementing personas and task flows, site map redesign, wireframing, brainstorming feature sets, and creating a competitive analysis.
Branding: Leah Lukens Design
I worked to create a personal branding identity system. While creating my own brand, I explored many different typographic compositions and color combinations. I wanted to create something that represented me as a designer: simple and graphic.
I made a branding book to present my logo design, from sketches to the final product.
Amelia Bright is a fun fashion brand for consumers in their late teens and twenties. Many fashion items contain bright, geometric patterns that are visually interesting and eye-catching. The logomark is inspired by a Macaw Parrot because of its vibrant colors.
I researched fashion items that the target audience would be interested in, engaged in environmental research about the interior of the boutique, and created a color palette for the brand.
Stitch App UX Design
UX Design: Major Jewelry Retailer
As a subcontractor, I worked with UX STRAT to improve the UX design for a major jewelry retailer. I created a thorough competitive analysis, personas, and task flows as well as lead user testing and card sorting exercises. Our team rethought the jewelry retailer’s entire global navigation system, site map, interaction model, and overall site flow from initial site interaction to checkout flow.
UX Design: UGA Status Page
I redesigned UGA's Systems Status page to improve usability and to fit within UGA's existing brand standards. I worked with a developer from UGA's EITS department to understand the scope of the project.
I designed a book for an excerpt from The Page, by Georges Perec.
My goal was to create interesting typographic hierarchy as well as dynamic layout designs that highlighted the given text.
UGA vs UF Infographic
In my free time, I design prints, often focused on the University of Georgia. The prints incorporate digital printing, screenprinting, and letterpress printing.
Branding: cinder + SMOKE Photography
cinder + SMOKE Photography was only an idea of a photography company when the client came to me to create a brand identity. I mocked up many different logo designs until the client felt that the logo represented her company.
Athens Mobile Home Communities
Athens Mobile Home Communities is a hip neighborhood for young professionals in the Athens area. I created the logo for AMHC, from brainstorming / concept design to final tweaks. After finalizing the logo, I created signage to lead potential home buyers to the AMHC neighborhood. I also manipulated the AMHC logo to be used on worker's shirts, maintenance vans, and other branding materials.
The World Store
The World Store is an online journal and store featuring a limited collection of personal stories of adventure travel, unique productions, and designer interviews.
As the sole graphic designer, I worked on the brand identity development, including logo production, color scheme selection, and font choices. I also produced mockups for the world store website.
I adapted an existing design to fit within the parameters of Snapchat Geofilter Design. This geofilter is active in Athens, Georgia.
